There is a way in which a fish swimming around in a fishbowl knows nothing about water. It is so immersed in water that it can't really "see" it. If you want the fish to really understand water, you have to take the fish out of the bowl and say "Look, that's water".
Stop spending your money at Starbucks. Find a locally owned cafe instead, or brew your own.
Starbucks' outrageous CEO-to-worker pay gap might make you spit out your morning coffee. And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?

You can count on the fact that the Trump administration will never do the right thing. Ever.

Absolutely.
We are only voting for people who are guaranteeing a single payer Medicare for all! It is past time for Americans to have good insurance like every other major country in the world!

Right. Republican priorities.

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol earned approximately $95.8 million in 2024, which is 6,666 times more than the median barista's pay of about $14,674.

Trump said "it was an honor" to welcome this guy (who killed American soldiers) to the White House. On Veterans Day.

Another sense. I am among those who believe we "have 20 or 30 senses". If you spend time paying attention to each of them (i.e., "exercising" them), you can make them stronger.

Scientists discover humans 'have seventh sense' called 'remote touch'
We're told we have five senses – sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch – but now scientists at a London university have discovered a mysterious new ability they call 'remote touch'

More racism from the Trump administration.
Removing a monument honoring Black US soldiers has nothing to do with DEI. It’s erasure of history and it’s straight-up racism.

More hypocrisy.
The America First guy has brought in 566 foreign workers during his 5 years in office to work at his companies instead of hiring Americans. And counting.

Interesting.

Hard to watch. We only know about situations like this because almost everyone now carries a phone/camera. Keep filming every violation you witness. Sooner or later the violators will get their due in court.

Makes sense.
Soft secession

Legislation creates a Federal Tax Escrow Account in the state treasury. Instead of employers forwarding collected federal taxes to Washington, they send them to the state. The state holds the money in escrow. A legislative panel reviews federal spending for constitutional compliance.

If we could use nullification for people to get high, why can’t we use it to protect human rights and stop fascism?

It is way past time to do something about this.
Average healthcare costs in the US:

Giving birth? $18,000

Cancer treatment? $150,000

One month ICU stay? Between 30k and 150k.

That’s not including copays, deductibles, interest and all the other hoops you have to jump through.

Cost in Canada? $0.

Cost in the UK? $0.

Cost in Australia? $0.

It’s unfair that Trump gets to sleep through his presidency and the rest of us have to be awake for it
