Especially when they're completely missing our point- Morillo isn't doing jack-all to ICE. She drafted a concept of a concept that would fine landlords for their tenant's actions. While I'm not a friend to landlords, that's just beating around the bush. Go at them directly, look at other options

Our civil rights can't be violated for a price but I guess I'm just stupid enough to believe rights mean something. My community members are not for sale. There is no price that makes these atrocities acceptable.

If you were serious about anti fascism then you wouldn't be belittling the importance of building community systems. We cannot fight a winning battle against fascism without replacing the fascist systems we are currently forced to rely on. Without a new network, we are easily controlled.

Instead of utilizing the existing laws and ordinances to hold ICE/Lindquist accountable they wanted to pretend to do something and passed this fee thing as a concept of a concept. It will take years to even understand if this concept brings any financial relief to anyone.

Except this was not a surprise meeting or even one that ran unexpectedly late. They plan their schedules. The minority women you're so concerned about protecting were blatantly laughing and texting and doing everything else but listening to their constituents.

So this sounds like another keyboard troll as well bc this is not community building language. Trolls don't live rent free in my mind and the last one took up too much of my energy already. If you had genuine interest in building community this is not the way.

I don't know how to more clearly state that we did not contribute to or create that video. Greene decided it was ours bc how convenient it is to blame the loud group with all the criticism, then it's super easy to ignore all the 'noise' about the permit.
