Jasmine Crockett and James Talarico are both great, and either would be a terrific Senator. Each obviously thinks they are the better candidate.

But they should say now that, if they lose, they and their supporters will crawl over broken glass in a blizzard to vote for the other one in November.

So much focus on the 'married women' aspect that other really terrible things in the bill aren't being mentioned. The SAVE Act will also end vote by mail.

SAVE act updated to include two terrible additions:
1. Requirement for states to submit their voter rolls
2. Those voter rolls will be run through the SAVE database tool (different from legislative bill) and purge lists will be sent to states

The SAVE database tool has at least a 14% error rate.

DHS rolled out the revamped tool while it was still adding data. That led to widespread misidentification, particularly for citizens born outside the U.S.

Part of my theory of change is to share the words white men need to hear, spoken by white men. This is because creating defections is crucial to stopping authoritarianism and democratic backsliding. This is because almost everyone else is already off the Trump train.

I remember reading about Black Cube and PsyGroup during the Mueller investigation era.
But something else just niggled my brain. Black Cube was also the company that Harvey Weinstein hired, referred by Ehud Barak, to discredit witnesses and kill the MeToo movement.

Having a bad week? Swing by and marry someone for a mood boost.
It's like visiting the nursery when you work at a hospital.
As someone who has both gotten married at City Hall in Manhattan and officiated a couple of weddings, I think this would be a pretty fun way to spend my time if I were mayor of New York City.
Everyone in the world comes to get married at the NYC Marriage Bureau. Last week, the Mayor stopped by to officiate a few of those ceremonies.

Thank you to all the couples who shared their joy with us. Happy Valentine's Day, New York.

He has the cadence of a preacher, pausing every few words. Always feels like a performance. Can't seem to make an efficient point. Instead of "Do you think we'd trust Bondi after what we saw yesterday?" it's a roundabout journey of preacher pauses that fail to emphasize his wayward fucking point.
Jeffries: "Y'all saw the embarrassing display by the so-called attorney general the other day. Who would trust her or the weaponized DOJ to independently investigate wrongdoing by Trump administration officials or by ICE agents? That's a reasonable demand. It's also a hard line in the sand."

Two thoughts:

- Do not commit arson. Period. And if you are going to commit arson, do not do it in broad daylight while on camera, making your felony conviction guaranteed.

- I had been wondering if someone was going to do this. Guess so, but in the most moronic way possible.

Looks like Epstein was the one to initiate contact with Bannon after Trump won the first time? There was some mention of him in emails, sharing articles, but it wasn't until early 2017 that Epstein asked to be put in contact with him.

While I agree w all the practical and political objections to the SAVE Act, I actually believe those are secondary and miss the primary objection:
There is NO EVIDENCE of non-citizens voting in federal elections: 77-85 cases between 1999-2023.
There is NEITHER NEED nor JUSTIFICATION for a law
