His move violates a statute that prohibits the state from "influencing" a person's vote, critics argue.

Ran across another friend who didn't get Paxlovid bc it was hundreds of dollars so here's this link again. You have to have a prescription to enroll and will need to educate the pharmacist but it works. No one should pay hundreds of dollars for Paxlovid! Privatization sucks!

There’s a terrific new program for free Paxlovid, but many people don’t know about it.

All the money Harris/Walz is raising is excellent and it's great that they sent some downballot. But it's also a big problem.

It leads people to think that downballot races and independent voter turnout operations are fully funded. They're not. There are huge deficits.

I really can't emphasize this enough: although you're going to see DJT as an option on the ballot, his presence there is an error introduced by the US Supreme Court. He is not eligible, voters must not choose him, & constitutional fidelity requires preventing him from moving into power.
Yes. The sabotage of the 2024 election is currently underway, led by one of the two candidates--the one who is unconstitutionally standing for an office that he is specifically barred from occupying due to his treasonous attempt to overthrow the constitutional order on January 6th 2021
In 2020 Trump leveraged false claims of “cheating” to motivate an effort to overturn an election. Now he threatens to prosecute individuals for the same false allegations. This threat is meant to suppress registration/voting among targeted groups and pressure partisan election officials to assist.

I know there are people who never stopped making a fuss about it, and good for them, but it is INSANE that the possible next president of the United States regularly defends himself against allegations of rape by saying “that is not the kind of woman I would rape”

If we lose the internet archive we are in serious trouble. They are the only public repository of most digital media (and some physical through scans) - like @frankcifaldi.bsky.social says, 89% of all video games are not currently available to purchase.
well that blows.

I read somewhere that mainstream media stopped valorizing Greta Thunberg the minute she started connecting climate change to imperialism. Honestly, I thought she had just opted for a more private way of life or something. But nah, they want her to shut up.

Dumb fact: If you're travelling with a friend on a train that costs more than £45 per person then you'll save money by buying a railcard even if you only use it once. (Also: it's cheaper to *pay* for under-5s on a railcard than accept the offer of free travel for them.) www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Railcard train travel to offer less of a discount
The discount will be trimmed from 34% to 33.4% from the middle of September after system changes.
