I briefly thought about writing a short story inspired by the function of kink and D/s in my relationship with Espose, but decided against it. I am happy to share them with metamours and play party hookups, but with my readers? Fuck no, not those perverts.

Anyway, give to June because unless you have lived in the United States (or in a country like Chile where neoliberal dogma was imposed by a US-backed dictatorship) you likely underestimate how bad it is here. (You don't have to give in USD!)
For example, he couldn't understand why June was rejected for a larger apartment when she has the money to pay for it. He didn't understand the concept of a "credit report." He definitely didn't understand why my name change made it so I couldn't help her.

I have repeatedly had conversations with my Spanish boyfriend in which I have attempted to explain basic features of US life in regard to employment, healthcare, or housing, and I know my Spanish is all grammatical, yet he responds, "No entiendo."
Goal: getting really good at the languages I’m working on so I can finally characterize how bad things in the US are in someone’s first language

This morning I read about both the Berlin state government (CDU) and the Madrid community government (PP) giving multi-million Euro grants to the NFL to hold games in their respective capitals.

The key to understanding a lot of US politics is that the unspoken premise on which it all rests is that personhood begins at a certain tax bracket.
Lots going on but from outside it seems that at least part of the calculus was that flight disruption for middle class and up travelers matters more than life disruption for untold numbers who’ll be deprived of health care.

I've replied to each of the lecturers with this.

One doubled down on lecturing on the utility of the block function.
So I followed his advice and blocked him.
Challenge: rich, cisgender liberals do something useful for oppressed people. Difficulty level: impossible?

This went viral overnight. Resist Libs lecturing me on the supposed necessity of watching cruelty porn.
I'm a trans woman in the US. Cruelty is part of the daily reality of me and my loved ones.

every yiddish student learns to introduce themselves by saying “I am called [name]” (כ׳הײס [נאָמען]) and i am only now learning that it is common to instead just tell a stranger ״THEY CALL ME [NAME]” (מיך רופֿט מען [נאָמען]) like some jewish cowboy of some renown

Gender is a performance and mine is an open mic, open to all.
Gender is a performance and mine had been cancelled due to a double booking clash with a macrame demonstration in the parish hall
gender is a performance, and while we don’t quite have the budget or connections to get the involved effects we want, we’re doing our best to create an innovative viewing experience using the resources at hand.

Woke up this morning convinced a dream had told me that a man was dead, but wasn't sure if it was:
1. My father,
2. [REDACTED], or
3. The man I pretended to be for so many years.
It turns out the first two are still alive, so by process of elimination...

It's a month's worth of necessities, what could it cost, Michael? $481?
I hate this man so much. Dude, please take that $481 and shove it. Omg he is such a snake oil salesman.
“Trump’s proposal could see Americans each receive a check for at least $481”
So less than half of one month’s coverage for a family plan
Lol

If you're sharing autoplay video of the man with autism getting arrested by Border Patrol because he can't speak, I will unfollow you. I don't care what point you are trying yo make. That could easily be my brother-in-law, and I don't want to accidentally traumatize my partner.

Espose and Kid 2 are bonding watching an Actual Play together (a video of people playing a TTRPG). It's not my thing, but I am delighted that my kid can share interests with a caring adult.

Today I figured something out about @themountaingoats.bsky.social that should have been obvious years ago: Unlike most songwriters, John Darnielle is not a lyric poet. He is a novelist whose POV characters just happen to all be lyric poets.
