As someone who obtained ILR 11 years ago when it was "easier" to get than it is today, Lam's claim that "any migrant" can just get indefinite leave to remain after 5 years in the UK is absolute BS. The process is time consuming, expensive and is a total invasion of privacy

I am consistently fascinated by the stark regional variations in vernacular. In Asia, they're called wild boar, in Arkansas, they're known as razorbacks, and in Chicago, feral hogs are commonly called ICE agents.
