Timed tests are stupid and archaic anyway. There’s no science that goes into “how long you should need to write or think through the problem.” Many kids don’t need extra time. Some kids—even kids who have no disability of any kind—need extra time to think or check their work.
I would rather have a world where we all trust each other and accept that a few people will take advantage of it than a world where folks have to perform disability constantly in order to get the help they need. Let kids have an extra 30 minutes on the test, jesus fucking christ

I have had much of the kumbaya aggressively beaten out of me over the past several years but if it’s any comfort whatsoever, I can at least say that every single time I thought nothing good would happen again I was wrong, and I’ve never looked back and thought “so glad I spent my time panicking!”
