I reject the notion that we must coddle and support people who don’t want to live near people who speak other languages, and it’s not clear to me how this is significantly different than “it’s fine not to want to live next door to someone of a different ethnicity or religion.”

Sounds like Republicans ought to get all the Republicans who form the Republican majorities in the Republican-led House and the Republican-led Senate together to pass the budget that Republicans wrote with the Republican White House and that Republicans now insist absolutely must be passed.

I think a lot of people who are distant from immigrant communities really don't realize the things that have been amazing and positive about America that drew so many people here. It's probably worth articulating that this is one of the things we're defending.
