I did a trial pass at a gym today where they proudly boasted about their “gender neutral changing room” but when I got there it was literally a janitor’s closet full of exposed pipes and a massive floor waxing machine. It’s just me and the non-binary floor waxing machine against the world I guess

If you are a journalist interacting with RFK in any way about “finding the root cause of diseases” can you please always qualify it with the fact that he doesn’t think HIV causes AIDS, thinks that pesticides from food production are turning frogs and children gay, and thinks that WiFi causes cancer?

this is great but can we just say they’re permitting 12 month stockpiles of estrogen & progesterone? It doesn’t cover testosterone so it’s not all HRT, just feminizing HRT. I got my hopes up for a minute which feels a bit cruel in this landscape. Truly stoked for my transfemme pals though! Stock up!

hilariously, my CPR cert expires while I’m in between jobs so I have to pay for it myself, AND… bc apparently I hate myself… I scheduled it for the first free weekday of my break, at 9am (tomorrow) 😭

So it turns out I owe the government $13,000 bc the “full scholarship” I got for nursing school counted as taxable income even though I can’t write off any of my tuition or school expenses. soooo cool, I actually LOVE that.

My therapist had to talk me out of starting a new mutual aid project bc APPARENTLY my day job is “really hard” and “so important” so actually the best thing I can do as a side project is “self care” which somehow does not feel adequate.

Tuck makes a few good points here but specifically "It is impossible to build coalitions with other people when we are singularly obsessed with ourselves." You can take this to be a scold (you are not special) but it's actually a gift (you are not alone)

Tuck makes a few good points here but specifically "It is impossible to build coalitions with other people when we are singularly obsessed with ourselves." You can take this to be a scold (you are not special) but it's actually a gift (you are not alone)
I second this motion, particularly the bit about solidarity with other oppressed groups. we (trans people) shouldn’t just sit around with our heads up our own asses worrying about our own problems. None of us are free until we are all free.
