Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.
Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

this was and still is one of the most horrifying articles I've ever written. I don't recommend reading it if you're trans, but you should send it to your cis friends who don't understand how bad things are for trans women even in "safe" states for us.

Further information on why this could potentially be a whistleblowing feature for NSFW businesses, the comments on this post have been slowly whittling down the people who are affected/able to see/turn off this feature as "Only Business accounts in the United States".
