I think this belies a real misunderstanding of history and how movements succeed. Violence is absolutely key (both given and received) and works hand in glove with non violent resistance. MLK jr without Robert F Williams, Fred Hampton, etc would have come up short.
There’s no real debate. I have witnessed a very small number of ICE activists advocating for carrying firearms or even trying to agitate by physically striking ICE vehicles, etc. Let’s be clear: the incredibly vast majority of people resisting ICE correctly believe these people are fools.

For a bad-faith position, using bad facts and bad logic isn't an error, it's a tactic. It tricks people into arguing the facts and logic rather than challenging the framing. That's futile, because a bad faith position can change facts and logic at will with almost no cost.

Twice a year I’m reminded that some people think they have a right to walk through life without encountering anything they don’t like. They are the reason no matter how many cops there are, we can still hire more because someone has to answer the call about the barista who was mean to us.
It is imposed violence. No-one has the right to enjoy it, if it is disturbing others (and hurting animals). Just my opinion.
