I wish there was a computer system that automatically monitored MPs’ emails and docked their salaries if they ignored constituent emails. I’ve written to mine 13 times now with no response, he’s a disgrace.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

Transition is worth it. I've been beaten, abused, isolated, raped, made homeless, left disabled, traumatised more times than anyone is meant to survive, betrayed, impoverished, forced to flee entire continents, broken and broken and broken and broken and fucking broken. And it's still worth it.
