I do no watch podcasts, only listen, and also hate audiobooks that have sound effects so I'm definitely not the target audience for this crap.

A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote that @lydscl.bsky.social got me for Xmas. Then my continuing reads of Journey To The Centre Of The Earth and A Brutal Reckoning by Peter Cozzens.
What's everyone reading this weekend?

I do not like what they've done to Dustin in the new stranger things and hope they change it as the series progresses.

Im listening to a book about Native Americans in the South and Andrew Jackson. Two of the Creek tribe leaders were called Peter McQueen and Paddy Walsh which are not the names I expected.

I’m entering The Teenager as potential winner of #Duvetknowitschristmas

He’s had to move from his bedroom to the unconverted attic

Cardboard floor & headboard is a nice touch which I’m sure he appreciates

He think it looks like he’s living in a meth den

Just finished Klaus, the wonderful animated film on Netflix. There's one scene with a line near the end thats so lovely it brings a tear to my eye, the emotional climax of the film. And @lydscl.bsky.social chose that exact moment to fart.

Nigella is truly one of us, twinkly lights and a drink.
By this time tonight I was meant to have made my bread sauce, cranberry sauce and begun the gingerbread stuffing, and yet I find myself, tasks still undone, on my sofa, with drink and cake to hand, happily gazing at my Christmas-Grotto-garden. Rather thrilled with my new light-up deer, I must say.
