In a shock to absolutely no one, it turns out if you make a cake but substitute the milk for a huge dollop of crème fraiche & ditto for the Greek yoghurt plus then add all the rest of the crème fraiche because why not, it turns out to be the tastiest, fudgiest, gluten free cake I’ve ever tasted

On my walk saw plenty of full citrus trees
One couple (& their cute cat) were busy harvesting their lemons presumably for their Réveillon (NYE) celebrations tonight
Huîtres (oysters) are almost obligatory in France at this time of year

3 excellent takeaways from my FiL who stayed over Xmas
He was beaming when he told me this was the best Xmas he’s had in years
He thought my Yorkshire puddings* were marvellous (he’s a Yorkshireman)
He remarked to OH that he thinks my mother is “an odd woman”
