comparing the OPs and laughing because the Pretty Derby OP shows gold ship, vodka, scarlet etc racing and that's simply a promise that they do not fulfill.

1st season of Cinderella Gray down. i'm liking it! some nitpicks here and there but it's a decent sports anime that has short seasons (13 eps) so they don't spend a bunch of time on the more annoying stuff of the genre. I am also ASTONISHED that we literally only ever saw two "concerts" iirc

I'm hearing the same thing. Dems are nearing a surrender. I'm shocked. Largest protest in history + best election night in years + polling showing we're kicking their ass in public opinion. And now Dems may cave.

It ain't over til it's over, so please do call if you've got a Dem senator.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Started Umamusume: Cinderella Gray. The first anime series didn't seem to know what it was trying to be. Which I found fascinating but it wasn't great tv. This one is a sports anime proper, the trainer is likeable, side characters have appropriate screen time, nothing feels boring or superfluous.

I propose November 1st as resurgence day. Halloween ends, and we all pick up the phones again. MasterCard and Visa, bare minimum, once per day. Every day. All of us. They are only hiring the usual number of holiday workers, this would frighten credit card companies. “It’s not going away”
A source familiar w/ internal workings at MasterCard notes the company does not plan to recruit additional call center workers for the Christmas season, as MasterCard does not expect higher call volume than usual. A resurgence of calls re censorship during the busy season would be huge strategically

Something I love about archival films is that when someone had a couple feet of film left on a roll they'd often use it to film their cat. So many films finish with a few seconds of cats

So, here's some cats from the 1950s and 60s. They were loved

1. As SNAP benefits expire, 42,000,000 hungry people may turn to the USDA website.

Now, the website blames their hunger on transgender people and immigrants.

It's a cynical ploy, an an indication that anti-trans measures are a Trump priority for the shutdown.

The benefits, which are set to expire on November 1st due to the government shutdown, will lead to millions of people struggling to secure access to food.

Backed by the Heritage Foundation and Big Tech, KOSA will force everyone to upload their ID to access the internet. In an age when Palantir has direct ties to ICE, where technofascists are in power and want to eliminate and censor everything, we CANNOT allow KOSA to pass.

It NEEDS mass pushback.
🚨‼️As of yesterday KOSA is at 64 cosponsors with @vanhollen.senate.gov + @kim.senate.gov - who claim to support LGTBQ+ rights but are clearly okay with supporting legislation that’ll censor us off the internet- newly signed on.

Your tastes change a lot from childhood to adulthood, but I don't think I was prepared for the way they change from 20s to 30s. Your brain just doesn't supply the adrenaline like it used to.

It didn't end. It got extended and that is costing us more, a lot more.

Consider donating or reposting if you can do either. We're very likely to win the case next week if we can maintain court orders. It's been over 4 months and we're in the home stretch.

Thank you for the support given so far.
Due to an ongoing legal battle ending in 2 weeks, we are broke and our car needs repairs.

Unfortunately, we may not make it till then. Please consider helping to prevent us from going under, thank you.

I actually have plenty of things I'd change about the games! but it's a lot of completely unpopular stuff like "remove most held items+abilities and reduce the move pool by at least 50%", "every game contains only its regional dex" and "tera is the best gimmick and should be the only one to stay"

Pokemon is one of the few things I love in an uncomplicated way, and every new major entry in the series brings me just as much joy as the previous, give or take a little. I wish I could talk to other Pokemon fans anymore. The world is shitty enough I'm sick of hearing why you think it sucks now.

The attitude expressed in this bit is uniquely horrifying if you ask me. How are we to "be ready" for this? This thing you're inflicting on us? Social and energy consequences and all?
