the final hurdle rn is if he's going to drink water, and if we're going to be able to express his bladder properly... I really want to avoid more kidney issues. He's still not interested in water but maybe when he calms down. Our local vet can help us hydrate him also.

thanks to donations though were able to buy him a lot of supplies to help with his care and keep him comfortable until then (cage for at night, soft bed, more animal diapers, puppy pads, shampoo, brush, wet wipes, etc). We'll probably get him a cart/wheelchair too as he may be paralyzed indefinitely

LRP: depending on what happens, we still may be relying on donations to keep our bank accounts afloat, or to take care of a severely disabled cat, but yeah. Truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the help so far. After tomorrow or the next day I'll have a more concrete update.

unless we suddenly get like 8,000 more dollars, we're going to have to make hard decisions based entirely on unknowns. thank you everyone so far who's helped us be able to afford and make it through this awful time

these next couple of days are going to be hard. It's not looking much better for taggy and there's not much we can do. Thanks to his extended hospital stay for his kidneys, we just straight up can't afford the MRI anymore, so we just won't ever get to know exactly what's wrong with him

got a call from the vet, they got him to produce urine, so it's back to trying to get his kidney levels down as opposed to just avoiding renal failure. I'm not sure how all these delays will affect his outcomes, if we can even get to the MRI. Every day adds about $600 as well. I'll keep trying...
Update on Tagalong: Not looking good. They found his kidneys were having issues so they couldn't do the MRI yet. Got a call telling us the kidneys got worse. May have been an underlying problem he already had that only worsened due to the spine issue making it hard for him to pee. Just have to wait
