I've been saying this a lot... but hoping it might land with govt leads at some point: we currently have no cooridinated prov workforce plan.

Overtime costs more, and risks burning out our workforce...

EMS Park times are no better, and are getting worse, and will be untenable this winter.

We have had Mandatory EMS OFFLOAD since this govt came in, and yet downstream improvements have not been made...

Come on out and let's discuss if we feel like HC is going in the right direction in Alberta.

Would love to hear your prespective.

All Albertans deserve safe and timely access to HC.

It bothers me that the UCP are considering denying healthcare to temporary foreign workers

These workers are only in Canada because a Canadian company said they couldn't fill their positions with Canadians

It's inhumane

I’ve signed my recall petition for my MLA.

The changes to healthcare are dangerous, reckless and uneducated.

Imagine resuscitating a patient but having the nurse in one room, the doctor in another, the RT in another, the XR tech in another.

The fragmentation is inefficient and idiotic.

Albertans read this thread and tell your friends. There aren’t enough government run longterm care facilities so patients needing extensive care that longterm care provides are stuck in hospitals taking up beds. They are there for months, years. Private care homes not the answer.

But let's break this down, shall we?

“Complex needs” pts – Yes, these pts exist, and yes, we are well aware of their needs, but private run FOR-PROFIT facilities will NEVER take complex pts. They take only the easiest pts that maximize their profits.

Don't those ABs deserve to be able to safely deliver close to their community?

Is HC going in the right direction AB?
