When a news outlet puts a reckless, undocumented claim by the Trump regime in the main headline and puts medical experts’ pushback in the smaller type, it’s making a choice. And not a good one.

My opinion?? Both of these infrastructure projects should have been done 20yrs ago & will be so well utilised by the public that critics will be scrambling for complaints within 6mths. The associated StKilda Rd tram line improvements have already improved traffic flow & city access. #ThanksDan 👍
Feels like this headline was written by someone who has never seen a major public transport infrastructure project before. Of course this is true of most living Victorians because governments lacked the courage to build anything for four decades.

This is $450,000 per term, per electorate. Plus interest on that money, let’s call it half a million. $75,000,000 per term of government for small re-election bribes.

Next time you’re waiting hours in a hospital emergency waiting room, think what this money could do.

Every state apart from Tas is pulling their weight with hospital expenditure. The full cost of the BoM website has been known for some time — I reported it in September last year — so why would management not be honest about it? It’s a story of executives meeting the firm ‘Accidenture’. $96m later… www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/2025/11...
Inside the Bureau of Meteorology’s $96m website fiasco
Global IT consultancy Accenture has been accused of ‘strip mining’ the Bureau of Meteorology during its years-late delivery of a redesigned website not fit for purpose.

The president is such a bumbling idiot he thinks tweeting out the word "hereby" a couple times on his white supremacist social media site is the same thing as making an actual law.

The only story here is the one about a mentally diminished, increasingly erratic president who thinks he's a king.
It should go without saying, but the president has no authority to do this, and anyone reporting the story needs to say as such.

This man’s values are based in power, greed and division. They are so far removed from the values of the Australian people.
We need a government that has the courage to stand up to him, reject his racism, reject US bases and forge an independent peaceful path for Australia.

This. Absolutely. Will politicians ever acknowledge that capitalism is only working for the top 1% & take some action? Meanwhile, who’s leading the anti-billionaire march? I have a nice banner ready to go. And maybe a guillotine. And a catapult. #auspol
Why do so many feel like they've fallen behind?

It's not because of immigrants, trans people, DEI, the “deep state,” or any other bogeyman trotted out by the GOP.

It's because big corporations and billionaires have rigged markets and siphoned off most of the economy's gains.

Who else lives for this day? I can’t understand why journos go the submissive route. They’re called a ‘press pack’ for a reason - that’s b/c once upon a time they all worked together to press a point & corner whoever was lying until they were made to either look stupid or tell the truth 🤷‍♀️
At what point will the press corps, as a chorus, in unison, just shout back, “THATS NOT TRUE”!

What are we doing?

As the trends in our world are increasingly standardized and entrenched by "predictive" technologies that stifle innovation and reduce human actions into economic categories...

We need a full range of possibilities for readers and communities to explore and share.
