When AOC and Adam Kinzinger are both furious at Chuck Schumer, for the exact same reason, maybe you need to give up the idea this is just a backlash coming from far left activists.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

honestly this stuff is insulting
I will continue to fight against Donald Trump’s reckless, and in many instances, illegal attempts to gut the federal government. He is testing our system of checks and balances like they haven’t been tested in my lifetime. The fight continues.

i honestly have never seen a political leader so thoroughly destroy their credibility so quickly and, on the other side, it is abundantly clear that if anyone can claim a genuine leadership of large parts of the democratic party, it is AOC.
Folks is it good when your own party's leadership in the House is dropping "listen to the women" and MLK quotes on you while swing state members of your caucus are talking about new leadership

If the party conference caves, I don't care what each individual senator does, unless they're calling to remove Schumer.

The Democratic Party has been like this for decades.

But its unwillingness to fight and cowardice in the face of the GOP is particularly mismatched for this moment.
🚨 BREAKING: 11 young people were arrested after Schumer locked the doors on us—we showed him how to fight, but he couldn’t even face us.

His cowardly deal gives Musk the keys to our government while working people suffer. If he won’t fight for us, he’s unfit to lead.

Step up or step aside.

seems like a small point but i wish reporters would stop calling it DEI when the white house internally calls it DEIA. they remove the A because it stands for accessibility. they want to ruin the lives of disabled people but they don't want to talk about it publicly.

This feels like one of the biggest open goals ever. Just show up and talk to a bunch of disenfranchised republicans. I know it probably isn’t always going to be pleasant, but you are also the person that chose to do a job where the job is ostensibly representing their interests

It’s funny, while Bluesky is often very Lib coded I’ve also never seen people more actively disgusted by Democrats in my life. Like this should be fertile ground for them and they fucked that up.

Walz: I own this. We wouldn’t be in this mess if we'd have won the election and we didn't. We have to make sure that Americans know it's not just that Donald Trump is bad, but we're offering them something better
