They're enabling creepy lonely men to create submissive "AI companions" that can be modeled on whatever real-life woman they're obsessed with and made to do whatever they want and, Jesus Christ, I need to wash my hands just typing that.

We need to have a serious talk about the way "AI companion" apps not only prey on the vulnerable, but are priming their users to ignore consent and to conflate love with control.
We need AI regulations across so many sectors, but this area is particularly horrifying.

Today is my last day with one of my special needs clients who i have spent more time with this year than anyone outside of my family. I can't express to him what spending time with him and learning from him has done for me but I can only hope that I have had a tiny fraction of as much impact on him

I actually think my transition from working screenwriter to struggling creative professional to entry level care giver in mid-life is kind of interesting and I've learned a ton about life. Too bad I'm not a trump voter or someone might do a piece on me.

I can't keep track of the millions and millions of pundits and opinion writers and substackers and gadflies out there but I do know that this woman rankles at being called Eve Fartlow and I think that's hilarious.

I'm not a "oh is sportsball on?" type but every time I DO try to follow sports (i.e. Lions lately) it just sucks and people say "that'a fandom you have to accept the disappointment and loss" and yeah, no thanks. I will just go back to ignoring them entirely.
