I realize political hypocrisy means nothing, but it's still remarkable that on the same day that he closes the airspace over Venezuela, supposedly to prevent drug running by a narco-state, he also pardons the former president of another state who was convicted just last year for doing the same thing

I like flowery language a bit more than the average guy but I think all will agree with me that there was a point in time when the writer would have said “aids in digestion” and left it at that & that was better. I don’t need anyone to tell me “it works the farts out”, let’s TRY to keep some dignity

As faculty I’ve come to deeply understand that the university is never on our side. They’ve turned into businesses run by conservative neoliberal fools who care more about clout and finances than about the mission of higher education. Sad but not surprising.
So apparently the administrators at Northwestern have caved to the extortionist demands of the Feds. Faculty voted 595-4 AGAINST this measure.
