I will note that a huge difference between Chinese slavery and American slavery is that the children of these women were born free and also generally recognized as their fathers child - and often as the children of the legitimate wife too.
as I've noted before, China hasn't yet got anywhere close to the stage of a reckoning with what it means that a large number of the country's most renowned philosophers, writers, and so forth also purchased tweens and teens as sex slaves.
