don't get me wrong being politically engaged and opposing fascism is extremely important, but I also think it's okay if you need to take a step back from witnessing the horrors right now and focus on enjoying time with and caring for yourself and your loved ones in order to live to fight another day

This approach to queer identity seems to be drenched in the legal landscape of the US, ensuring civil right on the basis of innate or inborn characteristics.

I don't think all of it is malicious, some scientists for good or bad are trying to prove gender identity is likely an inborn neuroanatomical quality.

I keep seeing people say bluesky isn't algorithm driven but can someone explain to me what that means? Because when I scroll on this app, even in my "following tab" it's not a chronological list of everything the people I follow have posted or shared so how is the order of what's shown decided then?

If you can remember anything before, say, 2006, I highly recommend getting into animorphs as an adult. You can find the pdfs or audio books online for free pretty easily
