Nonsense masquerading as competence. He/Him.
Asking Nick Clegg anything results in my brain imploding and my spine dissolving so you know whatever.

Will be honest, as an immigrant living here, now naturalised, the way we get spoken about really makes me quite sick

Fuck the FA. Fuck the ECB. fuck UEFA and FIFA and Matchroom and Queesbury and the IOC and LIV and TKO. Fuck just about every big team owner. Fuck multiclub ownership. Fuck the players that wear rainbow laces then help to uphold authoritarian bigotry.

I would say “these transphobes won’t stop until they get someone killed” but we already know that even that won’t stop them.

They already have blood on their hands and they don’t care.

Remember all that time I spent on Twitter banging on about how “gender critical” fascists keep talking about autism because they wanted the ability to deny autistic people, as well as trans people, bodily autonomy. Well, thanks to the widely discredited Cass Review, oh fuck, we’re heading there.

Emilia Perez getting so many Oscar nominations is perfectly reflective of our time — the voices of actual trans people are being drowned out by the roaring applause of cis people congratulating themselves for performative support.

Hello friends! I think, for me, social media is just gonna keep making me unwell. I thought it might feel different in different places, but I'm not sure it does. So if you'd like to keep in touch drop me a line, and I'll catch you all somewhere else. Love 💜

I suppose the good thing about Musk doing the salute is that it did actually distract me from my current existential dread with a different type of existential fury for a little bit. So, yay?

i hate the “x is a distraction from y” formula of thinking. different things happen at the same time. you can pay attention to multiple things at the same time. buying into “distraction” narrative exists just to give you an out for deciding to ignore things.

absolutely insane that every single chancellor trots out some version of this story at some point in their tenure to demonstrate that they’re qualified to handle the economy, when even *pretending* to believe these are relevant experiences should actually be *dis*qualifying

Just about everyone who is a survivor will never be surprised when it comes out that ANOTHER fucking person is capable of these sorts of things, truly.
For some folks, reading the Gaiman article (and others like it) is hard because they're shocked such behavior is possible. For many others, reading those articles is hard because they've lived it. Because every story has a familiar thread or detail or moment that makes it hard to breathe.

From a room above a pub to The Golden Globes, there is no level of attainment a woman can achieve as a standup where there won’t be a bloke sat at the back with his ‘edgy’ mates saying what brilliant jokes he’d be telling if he was on stage.

Not just for sympathy and all that, but its two years today (yesterday, it's after midnight but I've not slept yet) since my dad died and it's further proof that time is a mad old bastard when those two years feel like both a week and a lifetime ago.

I wrote to my MP about my concerns over generative AI, its social, cultural and environmental impact. This is the responses I received, which feels like a stage managed response dictated from the government rather than the independent views of my elected representative that I voted for.
