I'm on this week's Outdoor Cats talking about the Worcester Mammoth Bean Fair and how I ended up throwing this annual party for an heirloom bean. Skip to minute 4 if you don't want to hear our ramblings about the co-host's absence due to norovirus. www.worcestersucks.email/p/episode-46...

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, I would have you remember that there are trans people alive who need your action now, not your reflective words later.

Remembering us is not enough.

Someone is applying for resident only parking for my street where I'm one of the only people without a driveway. Out of complete annoyance, I went on a walk with my morning coffee to document that there is always plenty of parking. I should just go on morning walks and talk to my neighbors more.

This is well-intentioned but misguided. Let kids have fun. Poor kids take on stress about food and money from a young age (I know I did). Trick or treating may feel like one of the only times you interact with your neighbors. Push yourself to find other ways to help and connect.
I don't know what's worse, the fact that I'm surprised by this headline or the fact that I probably shouldn't be:

I want city a councilor who hears this story from a constituent and does research into the actual history of Worcester’s Poor/Home Farm as well as the best policies for ending homelessness and concerns of unhoused residents. This was real place that existed in Worcester for over a hundred years.
Here's the 'send the homeless to work farms' line from Satya Mitra last night. You gotta love the applause (one lady very stoked) almost as much as him calling it "innovation"

I will always fight for my constituents.

you can't get out the vote or show up to protest or bake your neighbor a casserole if you're laid up by long COVID. you can do all of those things while wearing an n95. we simply do not HAVE to hand it to disease.
okay Massachusetts, for real: if we're in public shared space these days and you've both learned this information and you're not wearing a mask, I'm going to have to wonder how much you care about your neighbors. it's yucky season, y'all. break out the n95s, get your boosters, turn on the HEPAs, etc

This is why you really don't need to post through it in situations like this. Much of the initial reporting is based on scant details and your mind starts filling in gaps as a matter of habit. My personal rule is news folks who deal in speculation in times like this are never to be trusted again.
