So uh… a relative of mine fucked up big times and because of their fuckup I have to pay 2000€. And I have nobody I can lean on except myself in my life.

I apologize but I will be prioritizing big commissions, the more costly ones. No character sketch.
You can apply through the same form as usual.

But enough about Texas A&M
"Rebuild." Pssh. Look around you at the absolute wretched state of the Terps boosters. Look at the sad, corporate-captured, power-worshiping AD. Look at the distracted, deluded, increasingly spectacle-addicted students. Look at the denuded, decrepit set of ideas allowed in our discourse. Look.

We've successfully gone from "billions dead collapse of global systems" to "make everyone poorer by about 10-15%", which still isn't great. +2C target is probably not going to happen at this point but every fraction of a degree is a lot of lives.
Lot of people are already passing this around with the usual "WHY ISN'T ANYONE DOING ANYTHING" shrieks, while ignoring the fact that the article literally says that this is a *significant* decrease from the warming that we were on track for even a few years ago.
World still on track for catastrophic 2.6C temperature rise, report finds
Fossil fuel emissions have hit a record high while many nations have done too little to avert deadly global heating

This is why The Long Dark is about as enjoyable as a hangnail.
I love the "it's realistic.. Real life is brutal that is why you starve to death if you don't eat an entire roast chicken every 15 minutes" as a gaming philosophy.

A lot of geology discoveries are surprisingly recent. Plate tectonics wasn't proven until the 1960s and there was still debate on it into the 70s.
As a fun reminder, the paper to come out with the first hard evidence that an asteroid killed the dinosaurs didn't come until 1980 *and* the Chicxulub crater wasn't officially identified as the source until 1990 (despite its discovery in 1978).

The Ig Nobel is incredible , one year an Indian guy won it for calculating the average surface area of an elephant and during his acceptance they had an elephant hold up a sign with the surface area of the scientist on it, they do showbiz better than the Oscars
Video: a Japanese scientist was attacked by flies while giving the acceptance speech for his Ig Nobel Prize-winning research paper that proved painting Zebra-like stripes on cows led to a decrease in biting fly attacks.

Comedians being recast as great truth tellers with some piercing insight into society is a neat piece of self-serving rhetoric that we’ve obligingly swallowed since Carlin. Unfortunately, some of the worst people you’ll ever meet in your life are good at getting a laugh- it’s not a mark of virtue.

It’s the addition of wheels to make the act of carrying the cross easy and painless that really tells you everything you need to know about the absolutely uncritical and selfish ideological positioning of this kind of politics.

Superman and Captain America are both in the same boat where they have a number of flaws which would theoretically sink a campaign (including, notably, not being born on this planet) and yet they've both got enough charisma to bend reality so it doesn't matter.
Superheroes who could become president:
-Luke Cage
-Guy Gardner
-Beast Boy
-Storm
-Jason Todd

Superheroes who’s get the nomination but lose the general:
-Kitty Pryde
-Carol Danvers
-Iron Man
-Nightwing

Superheroes who would spend a billion dollars to lose every primary:
-Batman
-Green Arrow

Just build solar farms. The endless search for some other place to put solar panels is just skirting around the real issue of bad land use.
Here are some of the most curious and promising places to gather solar energy, according to the Swiss.

1. Why not do something with the unused space between Switzerland’s 5,300 kilometres of railway tracks?

a point I make over and over re: climate change is that there’s no point at which it’s time to throw up your hands and give up, because each tenth of a degree you can prevent is worth it

2C is better than 2.1C is better than 2.2C and so on and so forth

In 1956, a Bell Labs seminar presented the silicon transistor. In the audience was the co-founder of Sony. Pure silicon cost more than gold. Technologies were now battlefields. He said then – he knew it was the age of Silicon.

50 years later, another audience would sit, and witness a new age unfurl

We see a New Republic dropship land, the gantry coming down as light and smoke billow out of the opening. Some of the First Order troopers scream in terror, but not the first row. They had no time to scream.

yub-yub
Biggest missed opportunity of the sequel trilogy was the New Republic’s failure to deploy Ewok shock troops against the First Order, Sardaukar-style
