Wir schimpfen ja gerne über EU-Regularien, aber sie retten Leben. Die EU-Biozid-Verordnung Nr. 528/2012 ist der Grund, dass tödliche Vergiftungsfälle mit hochgiftigen Pestiziden in Wohnräumen wie wohl zuletzt in Istanbul in der EU praktisch ausgeschlossen sind.

Heute ist Safe Abortion Day, ich weise nochmal auf darauf hin, was ich hier schon geschrieben hatte - die Versorgungslage für Abtreibungen ist in Österreich weiterhin unzureichend.

Schwangerschaftsabbrüche stehen in Ö noch immer im Strafgesetz. In manchen Bundesländern ist es geradezu unmöglich (Burgenland) jemanden zu finden, der/die Abbrüche durchführt. Zudem zahlt die Kasse nichts. In Kärnten zb kommt ein Abbruch schon mal auf 1000+ Euro.

It's hard to overstate just how off the charts warm the Pacific is right now. The swath of the basin from California to Japan (a HUGE area) from 25N to 60N is ~3F (1.6C) above normal. To put it into math terms that is 6 Sigma/ standard deviations above the mean. More… 1/
