Funny that.

When the Cass report came out and there was an opportunity to destroy an entire area of trans healthcare it was wall-to-wall headlines and opinion pieces.

Now the Levy review says "current system just needs improved and lower waiting lists"... silence. Crickets.

Open editorial bias.

If the reporting on the Peggie decision tells us anything, it should be that the way news gets reported in this country has little to do with truth, and much more to do with narrative - as well as whose heavily spun press release lands on journos desks first.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Amid anti-trans politics, today is a day of reflection. A day to mourn those we have all lost.

Each name is a reminder to love and fight for each other, and especially for those most marginalised.

With solidarity, we will build a better world for us all.

Summary of todays proceedings against the EHRC by the indomitable @reactiveashley.bsky.social.

Some interesting comments made during the day appearing to confirm some events we suspected - such as the EHRC playing political games in the media in an attempt to push through their bigoted guidance.
1/🧵 Today at 10:30am, High Court in London, Court 1, before Mr Justice Swift, R (Good Law Project, on the application of) v Equality and Human Rights Commission, a rolled-up hearing for judicial review of EHRC’s “interim update” (Day 1 of 2)

No live reporting, sorry.

Now that Kirk's killer seems to be caught, maybe the news could spare a moment's attention for the right wing, from the commentariat up to the GOP and president, whose immediate reaction was not mourning, but to seize the opportunity to try to incite violence against groups they hate

1. In the immediate aftermath of Charlie Kirk's shooting, the WSJ laundered claims that "transgender symbols" were found with the shooter's gun.

Now, a press conference reveals that NO such symbols were found.

WSJ owes a full retraction and apology.

Press Conference: No "Transgender" Or "LGBTQ" Symbols Found At Kirk's Shooting
Yesterday, several media outlets claimed or strongly implied that "transgender symbols" were found at the scene of the gun used by Charlie Kirk's shooter. This turned out to be false.

I'm preparing to publish the next installment of AI Killed My Job. This time, the focus will be on translators.

If you or someone you know has had a translation job (including translator, interpreter, game localizer, etc) impacted by AI, and you'd like to share, please do: AIkilledmyjob@pm.me
AI is being used to justify firing workers at major tech companies, leaving those that remain to pick up the pieces.

AI code is being shoveled into crucial Google products, replacing trainers at TikTok, and worse.

This, in tech workers' own words, is how AI is killing jobs in Silicon Valley.
AI Killed My Job: Tech workers
Tech workers at TikTok, Google, and across the industry share stories about how AI is changing, ruining, or replacing their jobs.

Behind the ruling: how ‘Sex Matters’ is shaping UK policy on trans rights
The UK Supreme Court ruling redefined ‘sex’ – but for trans people, it’s the start of something far more sweeping and exclusionary

They have then used this "data" as if it's an actual poll

Now they and sexmatters are reporting it as "Views of LGB people"

It's being sent to businesses

The Scottish Conservatives have just endorsed it

If a racist shop patron made this complaint because they were approached by someone of a different colour M&S would be absolutely and deservedly slammed across our society if they apologised for it.

Our media is absolutely dedicated to erasing trans people from our society, normalising hatred.
Horrible story. Apologising because a trans employee had the temerity to interact with a customer. What are we becoming?

If your organisation no longer recognises the EHRC as a national human rights institution, we’ve prepared an email template you can adapt.

It can be sent to public bodies like the WEC, the JCHR, and relevant ministers to raise formal concerns about the EHRC’s loss of independence and credibility.
