This is me politely asking you all to review this skeet and, as a result, think twice before engaging in "smell-this 'activism.'"

DID YOU SEE THIS AWFUL THING THIS AWFUL MAN SAID

HOW ABOUT THIS TERRIBLE GUY, ISN'T IT HE TERRIBLE

OK, so... why are you his street team? Why are you signal-boosting?
The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.

If/when Harry Potter stuff comes to Fortnite if you are still playing that game I Will Be Judging You. Fortnite is fun. I've enjoyed playing it over the years.

In other words, traffic deaths are a policy choice
“Helsinki hasn’t registered a single traffic-related fatality in the past year…Citing data that shows the risk of pedestrian fatality is cut in half by reducing a car’s speed from 40 to 30km/hr, city officials imposed the lower limit in most of Helsinki’s residential areas & city center in 2021.”
Helsinki just went a full year without a single traffic death
The capital city is Finnish’ed with car-related fatalities.

Seasonal depression is kicking my ass. Normally I have to pour a lot of effort into keeping my seasonal in check, but these past two months have been rough for non-seasonal reasons which has been taking all my energy and I have nothing left to fight the seasonal with.

"build one to throw away" applies to so many things
my best code is written in a two-step process:

1. kludge a working prototype together, don’t worry about the code AT ALL. the point is understanding how the requirements function in reality

2. destroy the prototype completely. build the app for real using my better mental model

While typoed “magnetometer” into “mangometer” and am laughing my ass off about it. Imagine a sensor built specifically to detect mangos. 🥭 🟰 🧲

Every time I open bsky it’s an assault to my psyche, but it doesn’t compare to the psychic assault that happens when I open fb. That app has been showing me sponsored ads and posts from groups I don’t follow that are very specifically things that would piss me off.

2. I wonder if the specific superhero matters? Batman feels like a loaded choice.
3. I wonder if you'd get similar results from any non-superhero uniforms.

My least favorite genre of trans person is the kind who sees another trans person being happy and says "If I can't be happy, you can't be either," and does what they can to bring down every trans person around them.

A thing that doesn't get brought up enuff, cuz it's terrifying: We still don't know WHY the original 1929 US stock market crash happened. There are theories, but... it just happened, after years of nervous speculation it was gonna happen.

Because the stock market is fucking irrational.

Because I have absurd allergies I often times can’t smell very well. And when I do smell things, I often can’t categorize scents because it’s often been years since I smelled that particular scent and might not recognize it. Some days my nose works though. And I realize Everything Has A Smell.
