What I've always admired about John Brown is that he was "radicalized" by three things:
1. The Bible. He read "you are all one in Christ" and went: "cool."
2. His eyes. He saw that not all people were treated equally and went: "not cool."
3. Black people. He listened to Black voices. He learned.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.
