When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. I really think it proves there was no real Deep State as right-wingers understood it. The CIA and FBI were acting in the interests of the American ruling class, always at the president's orders. Now the president is going to dismantle them to be more suited to Trump's particular style of fascism.
The CIA and FBI are evil organizations responsible for incomprehensible misery domestically and abroad and if they can’t deploy some of that evil to save their own skins one wonders what the point of it all was

The @nationalsecuritylaw.org OPM lawsuit that has been pending in the background got a boost today, when the plaintiffs were granted the ability to proceed under pseudonyms by Chief Judge James Boasberg. They have now filed a motion for a TRO, and the case was assigned to Judge Randolph Moss.
