As someone who has worked in and around New York politics: I am urging everyone watching the NYC mayoral primary to calibrate their expectations. I would be over the moon if Mamdani won, but believe me when I say the NY Democratic Party is fucked in ways people not from NY cannot even imagine.

it’s not surprising but still pretty telling and a bummer that AOC is the only member of the NY delegation to great Khalil upon his return. Both Pressley and Markey greeted Öztürk (and she is a constituent of both). Columbia is not even in AOC’s district!
