Happy New Year, everybody. Today I'm giving thanks for so many blessings, including these two great kids I am so proud of. Let's make 2026 a great one by leading with kindness and doing good things.

In my state of Kentucky, we've seen many challenges. Yet, hope has remained. While our country feels divided, we must remember that America is resilient. Keep the faith as we enter this new year, folks.

We'll get through this – we'll get through this together.

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas, everyone!

John 1:9 says, "The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world."

This Christmas Eve, let us remember that He is the light and that He guides us to show kindness, love and forgiveness. That is how we build a better world for everyone.

Showing up matters. I'm going to keep listening to the American people and delivering on the things they need to make life easier. That's what our people deserve.

Continuing the trend of Democrats outperforming previous elections by wide margins all over the country, congratulations to State Senator-Elect Gary Clemons in KY's 37th Senate District. I was proud to campaign for Gary and know he will be a strong voice for working families in the state Senate!

American soybean farmers are hurting because of one person: President Donald Trump. Our hardworking farmers feed our families and fuel our economy, and they should be supported by our President not hurt by him.
KY Gov. Andy Beshear: Trump's policies may have dried up the American soybean market "forever."

Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate. After a year of challenges and division, I hope we can use this time to reflect and then move forward with love, kindness and acceptance for one another. My hope is that light prevails over darkness, and the world can see we are stronger together.

What upsets me is how Congressional Republicans voted yes to extend a tax cut for the wealthiest of Americans but voted no for a tax credit to help hardworking Americans afford health-care coverage.

That just ain't right.

Affordability isn't a hoax when millions of Americans struggle to afford groceries, rent or health care. I will always listen to our families and work to make life better.

Rural Americans deserve to be seen, heard and supported. That isn't happening in D.C.

Democrats can change that – and we plan to.

Our country needs a leader who brings us together instead of creating an "us" vs. "them."

America wasn't built on division. Unity is the only way forward.

The holidays remind us what's important: our loved ones, a safe place to call home, and the ability to care for our families. I am going to keep focusing on the everyday things that matter most to our people.

U.S. Army Spc. Sarah Beckstrom should be enjoying Thanksgiving with her family; but yesterday’s senseless shooting has now claimed her life. Violence has no place in the United States of America. 1/2

Today can be a tough one for those who have lost someone or are struggling. I want those folks to know, we're here for you and we love you. Let's check in on our neighbors and make sure we spread love and kindness.
