Folks in D.C. may be limiting access to health care, but in Kentucky we're expanding it. From opening the first hospital in West Louisville in 150 years to PMC's Appalachian Valley Autism Center, expanding Medicaid and more, we're making sure families can get the care they deserve.

Today, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that Kentucky’s Rural Health Transformation Plan was accepted in full, securing $212.9 million in funding to lessen the impacts of recent federal cuts and help support health care in rural communities.

Kentucky, strong wind gusts are moving through the state tonight into tomorrow morning, and temperatures are expected to drop dramatically. A strong line of wind and showers will begin around 6 p.m. tonight and continue through 6 a.m. EST Monday, with gusts up to 40 mph. 1/2

Kentucky, we have reports of a 3.2 magnitude earthquake in Garrard County. This range does not typically produce sizable damage – just shaking – and thankfully, that is all that’s been reported so far. Emergency Management is monitoring the situation and surveying for damage. 1/2

I’m sad to share some tough news on Christmas Day. Today, we lost Alain Rodriguez Colina due to his injuries from the UPS plane crash, bringing our total loss to 15. Let’s pray for these families today and in the days, months and years to come so they know they are not alone and they are loved.

Today, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that 2025 was Kentucky’s second-best year on record for new investments within the private sector, with $10.5 billion in projects announced.

After a strong couple of months for our Kentucky economy, the Consensus Forecasting Group has reduced the state's projected revenue shortfall. State law still requires a budget reduction, which I will announce at 12 noon ET via Facebook.com/GovAndyBeshear or Youtube.com/GovAndyBeshear.
In the last 10 days alone, we've celebrated 1,732 new jobs for Kentuckians. That's 1,732 more of our people who can better take care of their loved ones thanks to a good-paying job.
