NO Maga, Trumpists, Right-wingers, Bigots, Frauds, Scammers, Fascists, Crypto, Hookups, or Catfishers allowed.
I have yet to deal with it myself, as I'm currently working on my first book.
Must/Do all writers suffer from Imposter's syndrome?
I have no advice for dealing with imposter syndrome; I still haven't been able to deal with it effectively.

Bethany's a natural redhead. Her hair starts out short (shoulder length) but it grows a little longer as she grows. She wears her hair down, not following the late 1920s hairdo styles (and no, she's not an NLOG).
Here's an appearance one that I don't think we've talked about yet: What does your character's hair look like?
Do they have hair? Long or short? What color? How do they usually wear it? Is it important to them?

A group of colonizing, English fanatical Christians called Puritans
They condemned the holiday as "pagan", "unbiblical", and having all the "trappings of Roman Popery" (Puritans hated the Catholics). They outlawed Christmas in their domains.

Yes, theater exists in the Nequinum world, even Masques (court theater). And was also once banned by a puritanical government. The Calazan archipelago is famous for its productions of drama, comedy, & tragedy.

Is there theatre in your world? Is it common or reserved for the wealthy?

I think Moll Flanders is my fav unreliable narrator.
I thought it would be a story of redemption, but no, Moll is still a rascal to the end, just a very rich and fortunate rascal now. And I can't help but love her for it.
Follow the directions on the prompt card and discuss the tropes we love and hate.

not exactly a group project, and no one disappears. Bethany's quest is to gather stinging nettles to sew into shirts that would break the curse on her family. Her companion trio help, but Beth does the sewing. They also hunt, scavenge or buy food.
Your cast is assigned a group project to complete!
Who is doing all the work?
Who disappeared on the first day and hasn't been seen since?
Who is bringing snacks but otherwise hasn't contributed?

Bethany Ivanoff is the odd one out in her adopted family. Being a Bi & Autistic redheaded would make her odd by 1920s small town standards. Her mother (maternal aunt in actuality) loves her unconditionally but is unhelpful like the rest of the family.
In your character's family (blood or chosen) who was the odd one out? What was their relationship with them? If it was your character, who in their family was closest to them?

Bethany would definitely be a heroine with only her heart. Wealth and power is temporary and fleeting, but hearts are forever to her. It helps that she reads Aesop's Fables, and takes to heart about the lessons of greed (such as in King Midas).

There used to be a town, at the end of a narrow peninsula, in the far south. It was called Greenwood and there, for a time, there was peace and prosperity between the Humans, the Fairies and the Elenites.
Till it ended in fire.

In the country of Palamede (Nequinum world), there's the ruins of Helminth; a once proud city infested with corruption, slavery, brutality, inhospitality, greed, vanity, thievery, etc. It was divinely destroyed, with few survivors.

Coraline is (or was) my favorite Heroine's Journey story. It is all about a child breaking free from an abusive, authoritarian adult, something of which I could relate to (though with a school figure, not a family member, in my case).

Bethany Ivanoff only allows physical touch with people she's either related to or is comfortable with. Its one of her neurodivergent characteristics.
How does your character feel about physical touch?
Are they fans of a handshake, hug, pat on the back, etc?
Do they prefer to keep their distance?
Does it matter how close they are to the other person?

Aspasia Moschou, a Greek-American teen protag, brings her mother's classic Greek dish.
Macaroni & Kima, which is spaghetti with minced meat sauce, and Parmesan cheese thrown in.
It is character potluck day! Everyone is gathering for a meal!
What is your character bringing? Do they have a favorite dish/something they make in a pinch?
Bringing ice or crudité is also acceptable!

Inspiration
I've talked alot about how music is very inspiring to me.
The Rose book has scenes that were inspired by a foggy morning, a bridge where I went to college, rail fences, and an old mill.

I'm not really big into BDSM Erotica, but what drew my attention to the story is the fact that both the romantic leads (a cis man and cis woman) are bisexual. And it was published in 1985, when bisexuality wasn't taken seriously, especially in men.
