I had a hot streak writing the self-duplicating hero, Gemini, from my PRUDENT setting on #ThursThreads earlier this year and had the opportunity to commission this exquisite piece from @yumekiiii.bsky.social.

It's a lot of fun figuring out interesting ways to utilize and counter self-duplication.

My Original Characters' relationship with money?

As the most infamous pirate captain in the Known World, Cat N. Kinnery is pretty extremely rich. And she burns through it recklessly. Easy come, easy go.

Melody Fayth has no experience being the one handling the money, and worries she'd do it wrong.
How's your OC's relationship with money? Are they more on the rich or the poor end? 💸 💰

#JanuaryWorldbuilders 6 #Worldbuilding #Fantasy #Writersky as far as I could remember, I've always been a paracosmist (one who creates/inhabits a detailed imaginary world). I was inspired by Wonderland, Neverland, Middle-Earth, Kingdom Hearts, Labyrinth, Spirited Away, etc. But most of all, Narnia.
Good morning #JanuaryWorldbuilders! A very broad question that I have no doubt is difficult to answer: What was YOUR beginning of worldbuilding? What was your inspiration? Your initial spark? Another work of fiction? Boredom? A powerful imagination seeking an outlet?

A good reminder—my services includes working with authors at the planning level and with books that they aren't finished writing yet! This isn't always obvious because not all editors offer such a service, and these can often be cheaper than going in on a full edit right away.
I’m actively taking new editing clients!

Whether you’re stuck on a book, want help with a project idea, or simply have a manuscript you want to make the best it can be, check out my website for info about services and fees!

First Inspiration

Seeing the movie Maleficent and thinking this would be a better movie if....was the first inspiration. Them throw in everything that was going on in late 2019, add Tolkien and Katherine Kurtz to the mix and you have my books.

7- what inspired you to create your world?
Oh boy! Strap in for a thread! 🧵

The short answer is loneliness.

I had grown up with lots of siblings, only to be entirely isolated overseas in my teens. This, paired with a family history of "wild imagination" (ie, BPD),...

Give a nature setting that is visually stimulating

These two pictures, the rail fence and the rows of pine trees inspired two scenes in my Rose WIP.

I created 3 werewolf groups; Lycaonids (bad) & Neuri (good). Lycaonids are dark grey with eerie white eyes. Neuri are light-furred with silvery eyes.

And Cacodemon (demonic) Werewolves are all male, the moon & silver have no effect on them.
Day 7
Alright, time for shifty puppies! Werewolves!🐺 Big enough to have their own category, so why not have a day to focus on these beings?

373 words. I'm fine taking it easy/light while I ease back into writing...

Snippet:
“This might be the last time I see you, Gene,” Henny said. She leaned on a support post. Leaning on her arm, to be precise, as her back was still sore from her flogging. “I’ll miss your piano. And your pretty face.”

No explicit werewolves in the PD. Closest things I've got are:

-Wolves (a sapient species of people called capital-W Wolves)
-shifter species, namely Dragons, Krakens, and Phasmida who can change their shape/size
-Magic-users like Tynan or the Kingeater who could take a wolf shape

Would you be a human or a Squamate (lizard person) if you were in my world?

And yes, there are 2 for January because it's my birthday month and I make the rules(aka I couldn't pick between my MC's)

Plus size character thinks they are hot and loves themselves. Is that a trope? I dunno but I wanna see more of it.
