I think it’s honestly disgusting and deeply unserious that the Revoke the Permit people have clipped videos of my women colleagues eating pizza at the dais as some kind of shaming tool, which is now being used by right-wing media to harass them in misogynistic ways. Congrats everyone.

Glass-half-full intensifies!
Woke up feeling a bit more glass-half-full about the Blazers game. I'm going to try to nurture that.

Kick ball violation on Draymond. Which is rare. He usually kicks them in pairs.

It's so delicious when Toumani gets under Draymond's skin.

Feels like the Blazers are doing a much better job of getting Clingan involved on offense than they ever did last season.

I just managed to plant all my garlic before dark - Chesnok Red from last year and 2 new varieties, so I made myself a map. I know I'm supposed to record this in a twee Moleskine notebook with beautiful illustrations, but I ain't that kind of gardener. The Spanish Roja has nice fat cloves.

Since Google is forcing me to see all my promotional emails, I learned that Amplified Parts now sells pedal kits. Awesome, thanks Google! Every guitar head should be familiar with Amplified Parts.

Just think how five years ago Democrats donned Kente cloth and now they are voting against “socialism”. Empty gestures even now.
BREAKING: The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism.

Eighty-six Democrats joined Republicans in supporting the measure, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

As the Republicans normalize fucking Nazis, 86 Dems felt the need to repudiate the most energetic and committed wing of their party. Absolute bootlickers and collaborators all of them.

Locally, Gluesenkamp Perez and Salinas voted for it, and Bynum, ever the coward, voted "present."

The most effective way to help the poor is to give them money, exhibit eleventy billion.
An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

After ignoring the garden for a few weeks, I got out this afternoon to clear out summer stuff so I can plant garlic. I was pleasantly surprised to find a bunch of tomatillos, and even a few viable peppers and tomatoes. The yellow pear tomatoes hadn't gotten the memo, they were still flowering.
