Great segment yesterday with @equalityalec.bsky.social . There's a straight line from the post-2020 fearmongering about crime to the current horrors. We are, to a large extent, reaping the "Don't Say Defund" liberal backlash against the 2020 uprisings.
Alec Karakatsanis says both Fox News and even more "liberal" outlets like The New York Times have disseminated stories that create the illusion of a crime wave, when, in fact, U.S. crime is at a 20-year low.
