Instagram’s former head of safety and well-being Vaishnavi Jayakumar testified the company had a “17x” strike policy for accounts that engaged in the trafficking of humans for sex.

“You could incur 16 violations and upon the 17th violation, your account would be suspended"

Premium newsletter: Meta, Google, Amazon and Microsoft need $2 Trillion in AI revenue by 2030 or they've wasted their capex. The massive cost of building data centers and constant decay in value of expensive-to-run GPUs may make AI profits impossible to achieve.

Big Tech Needs $2 Trillion In AI Revenue By 2030 or They Wasted Their Capex
As I've established again and again, we are in an AI bubble, and no, I cannot tell you when the bubble will pop, because we're in the stupidest financial era since the great financial crisis — though,...

@coasterkaty.com Morning Katy, I found your PaperCut/Paxton blog post and have an SCR708 on the way. Can you remember if you had this configured to present the same 8-digit number to the printer as is recorded in Net2, or did you go with the card UID? Thanks

So, to me, this looks like Police Scotland have allowed themselves to be put in the position where Donald Trump, if he wished, could force Microsoft to give him access to confidential Scottish crime data and there's nothing they could do about it...

I feel like "$10bn of Azure's revenue in 2025 is OpenAI's profit-free-or-maybe-even-a-loss-compute" and "AI labs don't even know why they're hiring people" should be bigger and more worrying stories for the tech/biz press
Buried within this piece is probably the most damning part of any AI hiring story I've ever read: despite all of this incredible hiring with all of this money sloshing around, even the big labs don't even know what specialties actually help make the models better. Amazing!

I really have to do something on Builder.ai, but I’ve honestly just been kicking back and enjoying it while chatting to reporters about it as it continues. fake business, an insane and obvious fraud, that also possibly did flagrant round tripping with a firm invested in by Google/Meta/Goldman Sachs
“The tech world is reeling from revelations that Builder.ai, once hailed as a $1.5 billion 'AI' powerhouse, now faces scrutiny as its highly promoted artificial intelligence facade crumbles, revealing a human-powered operation behind the cutting-edge AI automation.“
