The Panorama edit was poor journalism, not sure how it happened (more than 15 yo when I worked there we all had to go on a course because someone made the Queen look grumpy about something in the wrong order). But of all of it, this is the only piece I’ve read that properly nails the issue…
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.

Surely no mystery. Greenfield is cheaper to build on and can’t see how the LA leverages that to promote more brownfield? Stoke is full of brownfield sites (many of which are potentially very attractive) but is still allocating loads of greenfield because that’s the only way houses will be built.

The Labour right and their journalist outriders are TERRIFIED of Labour losing power. They are absolutely shaking in their boots at the prospect of the Greens having any success.

Let’s make sure they were right to be scared, join and vote Green. The grass is greener ✅❇️💚

Honestly, I did NOT have "punching the air and going HELL YES to Chris Patten" on my bingo card today. But what he says is SO rarely said and needed saying SO badly!

"How shall we treat Mr Farage's concerns? Shall we hail Brexit a tremendous success? Something that has cost the country billions?"
SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.

"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

The consequences of global warming often denied by skeptics is that many of our planet’s recently stable systems have become highly unstable.

The polar vortex has become much less stable and will probably continue to become less and less stable in future.

The Republican Senate majority is built on minority rule, enabled by unequal representation & the two-party system.

The GOP hasn’t won more total votes or represented more people than Dems since the 1990s. They’ve won the Senate in 7 of 13 elections since 2000 anyway
