Well they said no one would be interested cos it’s about women… so it was a bit of a jaw-dropping moment to find out that @lilycanter.bsky.social and I have made it on to the @bookieprize.bsky.social for Ultra Women. (Currently running around the house screaming excitedly!!)
Lucy is so excited to get through to the English finals. She’s also known Freya since they were 3 and besties at nursery. They did their first school cross country age 8… #proudmum
KES Superstars! We are thrilled to announce that Year 10 students Freya and Lucy have been selected for the SY Schools' Cross Country team and will represent the region at the English Schools' Championships in Liverpool on 14 March. We couldn’t be prouder of them!

Bureaucracy, contracts, clearing backlog blah blah. How about we put patients back at the centre of decisions. She’s a child who has grown out of her wheelchair - that is an urgent clinical need.

Two eldest kids running for Sheffield in South Yorkshire schools cross country race today. Ground was mainly sludge. The 15yo managed to mix in a massive nose bleed at the end 🤦🏼‍♀️. The 12yo went straight off to do an escape room so we’ll have to chip that mud off at some point… character building 👍🏻

It definitely feels like the tide is starting to turn in women's running. The National Running Show last weekend was a great example of this and demonstrates why the women's running boom can no longer be ignored.

Looking at the long range weather forecast I guess I’d better get used to running in this grot. The ‘path’ was full on river at one point…

Had to get up at 5.30am to interview someone in Japan and my body did not like that at all. Once again completely baffled by how breakfast TV/radio presenters and their teams do it....

Beat the 10yo at MarioKart and he claims its cos I grew up in the 80s so I can play the 'old games'. Dude the most I could hope for when I was a kid was Lemmings on my Dad's work PC. Didn't even have a GameBoy. Guess I'm just an excellent driver 🙌

Only have headspace to follow so much political shenanigans but surely Mandelson's return was based solely on the basis that he was known to be well dodgy and would therefore be able to get on with other dodgy people... Back I go to writing about how poverty and inequality is awful and worsening

Grab your spot for this webinar later this month on pitching comment pieces with @hannahfearn.bsky.social - given she won the @freelancingfor.bsky.social award this year for best opinion writer, I can't really think of a better person to get advice from!!!!
