When student loan repayments bring in over three times more revenue than the petroleum resources rent tax (PRRT), it’s clear the system is broken.

I welcome the govt’s 20% HECS cut, but there’s much more to do. Degrees are still too expensive, and this cut doesn’t help students starting this year.

When I was wanting to buy a #solarbattery for my home I didn’t have any help
Except for the online sites like solar choices and a govt one on dos and donts
Some people here helped too but I was mostly flying solo

So if you have helpful advice for others
Could we create a #solar thread 😁🙏

Labor's Environmental Protection reform bill is a travesty and might as well have been written by the big dirty companies it's supposed to regulate and prioritises their needs above the environment.

300 more jobs (read, people) to go from the CSIRO. These cuts are on top of the 800 suppport roles already gone. Australia needs science innovation. And the CSIRO should have government funding certainty. You're losing us, @albomp.bsky.social. #auspol

Calling Labor's current approach "incrementalism" or "small target" or whatever makes it sound like they are are an overly cautious progressive govt. Matters like this show that they are actively pursuing policies that make them indistinguishable from the centre right: not incrementalists at all.

It's horrible seeing sheep and other livestock cooking in the summer sun in central and western Vic as you drive past. Esp during a drought, pathetically huddling under the 1 tree in the paddock. #auspol
#ClimateActionNow
Solar panels are often now elevated so that sheep can graze underneath them. Dew runs off them, making the paddocks more drought resistant. The sheep get shade underneath them. Productivity of both wool and meat is increased, farmers get static income from the lease. Win win!!😍

Society in general makes a big noise about DV but it's the same kind of noise they make about racism - sounds good but behind it is the ingrained belief that the victims are "asking for it" or "deserving". Sadly, a great many victims believe the same.
