Sunday isn’t Sunday without Stewart Lee. We were so thrilled at @thenerve.news that Stewart came with us.

His satirical columns for the Observer were some of our most-read content: funny, surreal, angry true. Essential weekend reading.

I relate to quite a bit of Ursula Le Guin's writing schedule, but it's the "very stupid after 8pm" part that seems to hit harder and deeper as the years go on.

Excellent thread. These people belong in jail.
Douglas Barrowman and Michelle Mone's company, PPE Medpro, has just been ordered to refund the Government £122m from a PPE contract.

There are two very odd things about PPE Medpro that may affect the odds of the Government ever getting that £122m...

I don’t know about you, but I’m still sort of processing that the US president stood up in the UN and declared that London is about to be under Sharia law, and the response has been “actually, that won’t happen” rather than “Jesus, that is insane.”

In the old days, you'd occasionally run into somebody totally normal who had one utterly insane belief, like a co-worker who just causally says he thinks the sun is alive. Social media is like if we extracted all of those individual bits of madness, cooked them into a stew and ate it for every meal.

Agree. Better than vapers - the wet lettuces. If you’re going to smoke then do it properly.
I sort of admire the proper old fashioned cigarette smoker, they know it's killing them, it's expensive, they stink, they are outcasts from everywhere, even their own homes, yet they still crack on and really seem to enjoy it.

In the old days we’d never accepted this trump visit. We’d have got an offensive song about him to number one or something like that. Now we just let it happen.

I never really understood the appeal of demo's of music that already has been released. It's just the song you love, but sound worse, and not much to it.

All that money and power and you still have to suck up to a dicksplash like him.
