Yep, it’s a hell of a story. Really enjoying this tour. Full UK and Ireland dates at daraobriain.com
Mock The Week is on TLC in 5 mins. But where is TLC? Here’s the easy guide…

2 gorgeous nights in Derry. Included a great joke about Gregory Campbell which will never happened again. Some tickets left for Hammersmith Apollo in a fortnight, and that’s the UK tour done!
@daraobriain.bsky.social 'I don't usually do this sort of thing but...' just want to let you know your gig in Derry last night was the best I've ever seen. You wrapped a lifetime up in 2 hours and made it feel like 20 minutes. I've never been so emotionally invested in a comedy gig. Well done 👏🏻

From my hotel room in Manchester, there an electronic billboard in a car park, and every 30 seconds, you can see money being burnt to promo a film no one wants to see, to placate an ego, 5,000 miles away.
Must check out that new biscuit though.

Received this text message from my father yesterday. Panicked that he had had a stroke, or similar.
Turns out it was my iPhone trying to transcribe the Irish language.

Yeah, you’d have thought that bit would have really spoken to him.
Yet Private Browsing doesn't get a mention. That's odd.

Weirdly, the Epstein files also seems to include loads of cut-and-paste news articles, people’s bios and acres of general, broad random material.

That explanation notwithstanding, both QI and 8 Out of 10 Cats are in the Epstein files.

Questions to be answered for both Jimmy and Sandi there.

“Oh, new Mock the Week is now on”, he casually drops.
On TLC, which is channel 133 on Sky, and on other free-to-view platforms…

Only a few more chances (10) to see this show in the UK, including the Apollo in Hammersmith and Edinburgh Playhouse!
Absolute joy to see @daraobriain.bsky.social tonight in Croydon tell the most extraordinary story I have ever heard at a comedy gig. Completely brilliant show! #comedy

Ah, that is very sad. She wasn’t just great, she was great in everything.

Well, here we go again…

Last Dublin show of the tour tonight, so I’m afraid you’ve missed it! Thanks to all who came out, it’s been one of the most enjoyable runs ever here…
If you haven’t seen @daraobriain.bsky.social @VicorStreet - GO! #sogood 😍

One of the worst aspects of the current global chaos is the need to know Yeats again.
If you've heard me cite the Yeats poem, The Second Coming, to describe what Trump is doing then you'll enjoy this little bit of genius as much as I did...
Here’s a short poem about the power of poetry to change the world.

Jesus wept.
Trump in Davos, Switzerland:

"Without us, right now you'd all be speaking German".

German is the main language of Switzerland.

Reposting this, not at 2am, while sitting in Eddie Rockets. It was quite the night.
Just did my 250th show in Vicar st. Recorded for a streaming special later in the year. And it was the most “Vicar St” night ever. Constant interruptions; audience laughing ahead of the joke; a woman who laughed at all the serious moments and then fell off her chair. It was magnificent. Adored it.

Ha! Me and Hugh should meet there, as the prophesy demands.
Thought I'd put "Monsoon Poultry Hospital" into what 3 words just to see where it was.

A #youhadtobethere from Vicar st last night…
@daraobriain.bsky.social Exceptional show tonight. Have always wanted to see you at Vicar Street. Well worth the trek from Devon.

This is why I missed your show in Exeter by the way: www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/desti...

Great rail fact too - thanks. Will try to include in the piece about SailRail!

We genuinely had a discussion about changing the logo to “Mock of the Week” to see if anyone would notice.

Soft launch of the new look.
Hooray! And yes you do look a bit different
January 13, 2026 at 11:46 AM
Although that is an old photograph and I look totally different now.

Sad news from the Daily Gazette in Colchester.
Look, we had a good run.

Alec Horne and his band heroically performed the same song for 24 hours yesterday to raise money for Stand-up to Cancer. This was my tiny contribution, at about the half-way mark. Feel free to sample it for an international dance banger.
@daraobriain.bsky.social Excited to see this new scatting direction in person! I'm looking forward to the scatting tour! @alexhorne.bsky.social
