Don't Let Democratic Centrists Hijack the Majority With Their Cowardice!

Vichy Democrats decided to betray their party, their base, and Americans fighting for lower healthcare costs based on a bullshit promise by Republicans. Never forget.

Trump says he didn't really need to demolish the East Wing to build his fancy ballroom, but he just didn't like it and wanted it gone.

He also claimed he's built many many ballrooms and "This will be one of the greatest ballrooms in the world.”

Trump Admits He Could’ve Built Ballroom Without Destroying the East Wing, But ‘It Looked Like Hell’
President Donald Trump admitted that he could have built his new White House ballroom without destroying the East Wing, but it "was a poor, sad sight."

Absolutely correct
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

The problem isn't that they caved for a promised vote; the problem is that the vote will be a meaningless gesture impressing no one but Senate Democrats.

It will fail. ACA beneficiaries will suffer considerably as a result and there will be no consequences of any kind for Republicans.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

Phang: These firings were illegal in the first fucking place.

It’s like the Republicans are supposed to think that they’ve now done something right by not doing what is illegal in the first place.

Even if the Senate voted to extend ACA subsidies, the GOP-controlled House is unlikely to allow a vote on them.

And there's of course no guarantee that Trump would even go along with a deal.

The cruel irony is that this will end up hurting Republican states the most.

Schumer must step down from his post as minority leader and allow for new leadership to emerge—someone who is willing to consistently fight for the American people.

Since 1968, CEO pay has exploded while worker pay has remained stagnant. If worker pay grew at the same pace as CEO pay, today’s typical worker would make $431.80 per HOUR.

Instead, today’s typical worker makes $36.49 per hour — while CEOs make 280 times that on average.

The system is rigged.

It’s not that we didn’t want the shutdown to end, it’s the fact that millions of people suffered throughout this shutdown and it was for nothing. That’s the most upsetting part.

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.
