You're not asking trans people. You're asking all people. This affects us all. Anyone could be barred from services based on appearance. Since, surprisingly we all have a fecking appearance

This is as bad as anything proposed by Reform.

Leaving refugees in permanent limbo and unable to build a new life in the UK would be a complete abdication of our humanitarian responsibilities

UK set to limit refugees to temporary stays
Shabana Mahmood is expected to say the era of permanent protection for refugees is over, in major changes to the UK's asylum and immigration system.

With the ending of permanent asylum, taxes on foreign students, two U-turns on income tax, a refusal to listen to business concerns about hiring costs, again I ask ‘who are Labour for?’ What is the vision underlying all these choices other than responding to last week’s polls?

We’re closer than ever to winning major tax reforms that could transform the economy for the many.

That’s why the greedy, powerful few are spreading hate and division... they want us distracted.

We’re in the fight of our lives. Chip in today so we can win it together 🤝

What on Earth is this? An "in depth" BBC article about free speech in the UK that only cites examples of right-wing/ 'anti-woke' speech being suppressed. How can you mention Lucy Connolly but completely ignore Palestine Action / Just Stop Oil? Gob-smacking. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
How the simmering UK freedom of speech row reached boiling point
How did we reach a point where the UK is being compared to a 'tin pot Third World dictatorship'?

Musk is inciting violence on London's streets.Tommy Robinson is financed by US tech bros. These are all very direct attempts to destabilise the British state.

Starmer needs to stand up to this. A government that doesn't defend its country's values against these blatant attacks is not doing its job.

This must be a watershed moment. The government's continued use of X is no longer simply negligent. It is an act of conscious assistance to violent extremism.
The common sense meaning should make this Elon Musk's "rivers of blood" moment

Though I think he goes further than Enoch Powell in a couple of important ways
Elon Musk spoke by video to Tommy Robinson's anti-immigrant rally in the UK today.

"You're in a fundamental situation here where, whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you," said Musk. "You either fight back or you die."

Good God, Starmer's at it again.

We're seeing people attacked and racially abused in the streets, businesses being vandalised and graffitied, and all he can think to do is keep beating the "!!! FEAR IMMIGRANTS !!!" drum louder and louder and louder.

He is the enemy now as much as the Tories were.

The British media class has gone stark, raving mad.

This is fascism.

And they’re strolling into it, whistling.

This is what happens when Labour decide to play on the same diabolical playing field as Reform: the Overton window catapults to the right.

It is on their collective heads. They had the numbers and the clout to yank the national conversation in a completely different direction, but opted not to.

Unless @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social fixes this not amount of ‘access’ will enable people to see GPs

8am- 6.30pm open access without more GPs employed or Partners will not mean more people seeing GPs

It used to be 1/1800 in 2010

If you want to see a GP then it needs to be funded or you won’t

That people experience racism differently is basic racism theory. A Jewish girl probably wouldnt be stripped searched in school. A Black person wouldn't be held accountable for the crimes of a country they've never seen. But both, during their lives, will experience prejudice. Like I said BASIC 🤦🏾

Our challenge is how to boost the entire bottom 90% at the expense of the 1%. Universal basic income + taxing wealth meets this challenge. A higher minimum wage - although needed - does not. Taxing the middle class less does not. More welfare does not. We need to issue a dividend as a raised floor.
