The media can (and should) reject the Right's deceptive frame. This is not about "references to diversity, equity, and inclusion."

It is a neosegregationist attempt to erase everyone but white males from the nation's history.
Arlington National Cemetery has scrubbed information about prominent Black, Hispanic and female service members and topics such as the Civil War from its website, part of an effort across the Defense Department to remove all references to diversity, equity and inclusion from its online presence.

Pentagon leaders have ordered that their websites and social media pages remove articles and images that “promote” DEI.

There are SO MANY protests happening across the U.S. at the moment, and we're getting better and more coverage of them all the time. I keep adding to this thread and it's a bright spot of every week searching various news feeds for coverage 🧵
I know *I* want to know about them, so will post coverage I see here (please do reply with stuff you've seen!) Also h/t @fisherdanar.bsky.social for being a steady source of info on this stuff!

There will never be lasting peace until russians are held accountable for horrific crimes like this ruthless bombing of the Mariupol's largest shelter in the drama theater, crowded with hundreds of civilians.
Any deal without justice is merely a pause in war.

Musk’s status as a “special government employee” limits him to 130 days in the executive branch. However, despite working daily—documented by his own X posts—they claim he only works one day a week, effectively stretching his limit to 130 weeks. This needs to be brought to Congress—please share.

Earlier today JD Vance claimed our culture tries to suppress masculinity just bc men wanna tell jokes over beers; the implicit part here is that the jokes are, like Vance, bigoted and unfunny
Just got out of jail. Only forty four left to go to catch John Lewis’s record. Remember - peaceful civil disobedience. Don’t comply in advance.

Government’s wins are often invisible: Systems that avoid plane crashes; alliances that avert war; surveillance that prevent pandemics.

Government wins are often *the avoidance of loss.*

So how do we tell the story of the destruction of government? The story of future losses *not* averted?
