Because I have been far too angry-frustrated on here lately I really enjoyed this (and what a great cover!). I love how punchy it is, the connection between the characters, and the strong voice. I usually don't like literary fiction but something made me pick it up and I am glad I did.

The more I am forced to deal with AI people the more I think it's just fragile egos at play. They want people to think that they CAN do everything, they're just deigning to come down from their cloud because they're very kind and see your value, of COURSE they do! (In glazing their failson ass, but)

There's a disgusting idea in the translation space that as long as a human combs through the slop for you, well, it requires SO MUCH WORK it's not REALLY AI (but deadlines are tighter because it's "just checking" and it's "practically done for you" when it comes to said people's pay or hours...)
"we USE ai, but our game wont CONTAIN it" is a clarification that no one has ever cared about & now CEOs are using it as a wedge to get their foot in the door as a part of a long term plan into normalizing AI, just like how 'it's just placeholder' was used with E33. dont cede even an inch of ground

AI translation has taken away my ability to actually sell my experience, my connection and respect for other artists and cultures and replaced it with prostituting my time to the empty toil of the same errors over and over, raking through the slop it puts in my brain instead of discovering ANYTHING.

The shame of certain generations regarding animation is bullshit and awful. It hasn't had the rebrand that games did as being for SERIOUS ADULTS (though they tried it with shonen anime). The answer is simple, the people with money want to be known for making *~movies~*, not silly stupid cartoons!!
Zootopia 2 is the highest grossing Hollywood movie of the year & Kpop Demon Hunters was Netflix's most popular movie of all time, but fuck animators, am I right?
