Annie Nominated Storyboarder, Director, Webcomiker. Current Client: WBA. Past Clients: Wild Canary, Disney, Universal. (He/Him). Views expressed here don't reflect the values of my employers, unfortunately. Read my webcomic: dimitracomics.com
Also I saw a lot of portfolios where you have to click through boards frame by frame. This is the worst, I HATED these portfolios, they are slow and uncomfortable to review. Give me a sheet with a bunch of drawings at once, or give me a timed .mov so I don't get carpal tunnel trying to see your work
I'll add, if you are looking for Storyboard work, don't call yourself a Revisionist in your bio. I had to hire for something recently and I can tell you right now yours were the accounts I passed over without even a glance, it makes you look inexperienced. Dress for the job you want, folks.
Evergreen advice for new artists, remove "Aspiring Artist" or whatever variation out of your bio! Are you making art? Then you're an artist! Life as a creative can be difficult enough as is. Starting off on the path by putting yourself down doesn't help you.

Super Mario, most people don't know this. He's Italian, but he's not from the country of Italy. He's actually Swiss. Grew up in the canton of Ticino. In fact his mother's family is Romansch

At 14, webcomics seemed like the quickest route to getting fame, fortune, and girls (only the last one panned out, it's how I met my wife). Pivoted to animation in college because it seemed similar, then got a job doing storyboard revisions on a Craig Bartlett show in 2015. The rest is history.

The best time to boycott Xbox and Microsoft was when BDS called for it, the next best time is now. Focused, targeted boycotts work, this one is working, and all you got to do to support it is go play other games. Literally the least you could do in this moment in history
But this win means our collective pressure is working. Palestinians call for increased global BDS and shareholder pressure until Microsoft adheres to international law and ends all complicity in Israel’s atrocity crimes.

I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

As Bluesky's chief opponent of blue/orange murk, I learned a lot from this video's approach; digital murk masks a variety of failures that are primarily formal rather than technological in nature
This is a really remarkable video essay on contemporary film and the theories of Laura Marks. It's making me think about movies in a new way.

People getting mad here about anyone saying it's good that MTG and Trump are fighting. I teach democratization every semester. The first slide says 'elite fracture.' That's always where it starts. It's good when people with bad politics are fighting one another.
I do not regret to inform you that we are going to win
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.
