I would not mess with Angry Kang.
i think kang would murder berman if she loses rodman bc of the salary cap. cause there’s no way trin is moving to ol and lcl isn’t in the champions league so she’d be moving out of kang’s org

All my favorite players, in games that start while I’m still asleep. Hey, speaking of, today’s NWSL semifinal is on at 9 AM west coast time
alyssa thompson should’ve been the wake up call, but since it wasn’t, if trin leaves then berman and the board of governors will have successfully transitioned the nwsl into a feeder league. congrats on those expansion fees tho.

Important soccer news: There is a cooking show on Netflix called Next Gen Chef and one of the competitors is a private chef for the New York Red Bulls

I love this idea. And those erstwhile private school kids would still get a great education because it would mean we’d had to, you know, actually pay teachers and fund schools properly and stuff.
My most woke opinion?

All private schools should be illegal. All. No exceptions. Through undergraduate and graduate education. Your kid hits four, they’re going to be at their assigned pre-k, or you’re doing a night in lock up until they start.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I’ve done a lot of thinking about the MVP voting, and after much consideration, I have determined that it’s some serious bullshit

I’m sorry I just found out that in 1379, as in, 650 years ago, a baby girl was born in Yorkshire and named Diot Coke

If MLS switches to a winter schedule the NWSL should hold on to a summer schedule with a vice grip.

Exclusive window in June > Exclusive window in February

This is obviously anecdotal, but tons of kids at the trampoline park wear soccer jerseys and none of them are ever non-Messi MLS shirts. It’s all European stars. I’m not sure MLS brass understands how much work they have to do to become anything close to culturally relevant.

I was excited about the A Different World spinoff until learning that it’s about Whitley and Dwayne Wayne’s kid going to Hillman. No. I want a show about them as empty nest parents doing middle age person things, only with flip-up glasses.

I’m a Seattle Reign fan and even I have to admire what Coffey has done for a team I genuinely dislike. She’s incredible.
For me Coffey was a slam dunk for Midfielder, and was on my MVP shortlist.

I genuinely do not think the Thorns make the playoffs if her season was even 10% worse (i.e. merely great) than it was. Thorns defensive set-up for half the season was to shrug and hope Coffey took care of it.
#NWSL awards season shenanigans is an annual tradition, and the Midfielder of the Year shortlist having NEITHER Taylor Flint NOR Sam Coffey is egregious, baffling stuff.

I could imagine a world in which the government would work a lot better if, in order to win election, candidates had to have at one point in their lives relied upon food stamps. Or hell, even a regular-ass job to ensure they get healthcare.
None of these politicians will ever be without healthcare or anything they need or want. That makes my blood boil that they have power over so many. They'll never taste suffering.

My first job out of college was writing shipping news, so yes, I still get excited for stuff like this
How many products in your daily life were shipped to you across the oceans? New tech is making leaps in decreasing the environmental cost of that shipping. For example the first complete marine solar energy system recently installed on the cargo vessel MV Vertom Tula.
